  Cycloplin: a one-man airship

Hello. I made a one-man airship. The person peddles to make the flap-dealies move, causing the whole thing to move. I used Bruce Lowells sphere. This particular cycloplin has been around for a while, so the owner, a wizard, has had to patch a few (...)   Standard LEGO RCX firmware

Dear LEGO, I understand that ROBOLAB, which is sold directly by LEGO, includes a version of the RCX firmware which has not been made available as part of a Mindstorms SDK or as part of the RIS 2.0 software nor has it been made available to the (...) (21 years ago, 12-Dec-04, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Who Uses Original LDraw? (Was: ... Rocket Launch Pattern)

(...) Why have a replacement at all? The file format stands by itself. There's no reference complier for C code, no reference viewer for the PNG format, and no reference CAD program for the DXF format, why should there be one for the LDraw system? (...)   In preparation for BrickFest '05

Yep! I've started on my project for next year's BrickFest already! Of course, there's some brick modification involved, so read no further if you have a weak stomach.   Re: Who Uses Original LDraw? (Was: ... Rocket Launch Pattern)

(...) IIRC, the limit was only on the size of the root directory -- but I could well be wrong. I think there are two separate, and related, questions here: Do we want to keep supporting DOS as a platform? Do we want to keep supporting LDraw 0.27? (...)   Re: Replacement Firmware Released

(...) Congrats again on the significant 'smart stuff'! Your feedback on the sensor bugs did the fix at the right time too.   Grey zone debate wanted! (was: Lego in subdomains, legal or not?)

Well, I believe that that big grey zone is there because the people at TLC is just as uncertain on how to place the boundary as we are; not to terrorize us with having a secret boundary to sit behind anxiously waiting for the opportunity to punish (...) (...) That's exactly what we've done: Use smaller modules, always. The standard in rtlToronto is 30.25x30.25", using the PNLTC standard.   Who Uses Original LDraw? (Was: ... Rocket Launch Pattern)

(...) Willy, You really got a good point here. I don't know if there is anyone that still uses original LDraw. And, I don't think the LDraw parts library is LDraw compatible anyway.
