Dear LEGO,
I understand that ROBOLAB, which is sold directly by LEGO, includes a version of
the RCX firmware which has not been made available as part of a Mindstorms SDK
or as part of the RIS 2.0 software nor has it been made available to the general
public for download.
This new RCX firmware has 6 additional sources for accessing Datalog
information. My understanding (this is from memory, so I may be off a bit) is
that these sources are
37 - Datalog Type (8 bits) Indirect via variable
38 - Datalog Type (8 bits) direct
39 - Datalog Value (16 bits) Indirect via variable
40 - Datalog Value (16 bits) direct
41 - Datalog byte (8 bits) Indirect via variable
42 - Datalog byte (8 bits) direct
Would you please release an updated LEGO Mindstorms SDK which includes this new
firmware? Or at least post a link to a download of this firmware and some
rudimentary documentation about the new sources.
If you could also release new versions of the LASM and Mindscript compiler COM
objects which support these sources or make the source code for these compilers
freely available (if you no longer intend to support them).
