Re: Who Uses Original LDraw? (Was: ... Rocket Launch Pattern)

(...) Why have a replacement at all? The file format stands by itself. There's no reference complier for C code, no reference viewer for the PNG format, and no reference CAD program for the DXF format, why should there be one for the LDraw system? (...)   In preparation for BrickFest '05

Yep! I've started on my project for next year's BrickFest already! Of course, there's some brick modification involved, so read no further if you have a weak stomach.   Re: Who Uses Original LDraw? (Was: ... Rocket Launch Pattern)

(...) IIRC, the limit was only on the size of the root directory -- but I could well be wrong. I think there are two separate, and related, questions here: Do we want to keep supporting DOS as a platform? Do we want to keep supporting LDraw 0.27? (...)   Re: Replacement Firmware Released

Grey zone debate wanted! (was: Lego in subdomains, legal or not?)

Well, I believe that that big grey zone is there because the people at TLC is just as uncertain on how to place the boundary as we are; not to terrorize us with having a secret boundary to sit behind anxiously waiting for the opportunity to punish (...) Hey All! Thought I'd share one of my latest creations with everybody, the Tazmainian Devil from Looney Tunes! (URL) This was a fun one to make as I'm a HUGE fan of the Looney Tunes classic cartoons.   Who Uses Original LDraw? (Was: ... Rocket Launch Pattern)

(...) Willy, You really got a good point here. I don't know if there is anyone that still uses original LDraw. And, I don't think the LDraw parts library is LDraw compatible anyway.
