  Re: multi-RCX dreaming

(...) I'm a poli-sci major (in my spare time :) and own a copy of the book as a result of that. I can't believe I didn't think of that myself. (...) Those are the kinds of things I was thinking about. A simple demo that I have heard suggested (...) (27 years ago, 17-Jun-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: multi-RCX dreaming

(...) My thoughts exactly. Though I was leaning more towards experimenting with different Evolutionary Stable Strategies (ESS). See if an RCX using tit-for-tat ESS can invade a population of RCXs using a different, more greedy, ESS. See Robert (...) (27 years ago, 17-Jun-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Cracking down on unauthorized image links

(...) Not me personally, no, but this IS the internet, if someone's doing it, someone else almost certainly is as well. Heck... a quick yahoo search using auction and image yielded a few. I have not examined these at all. (URL) Larry Pieniazek (...) (27 years ago, 17-Jun-99, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.faq)

  Re: Multi-RCX Dreaming

(...) I should have clarified on this one: in LegOS :) Windows is, for better or for worse, not an option. (...) I was thinking of this. I wondered (more for curiousity's sake) whether or not this has actually been done. (...) Hmm... That would be a (...) (27 years ago, 17-Jun-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  lego and steppers

I need to know the max speed that a touch sensor can advance the counter. I would like to control a stepper motor with the rcx and use a touch sensor input to count the steps. I am not going to actually use the touch sensor itself, just the sensor (...) (27 years ago, 17-Jun-99, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) -Lots of people (not myself, though I do own 2 RCXs now). (...) -Besides the built-in "message" function, there are several other ways RCXs could communicate. RCX A could shine a light into RCX B's light sensor. RCX A could start a motor that (...) (27 years ago, 17-Jun-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  multi-RCX dreaming

It looks like (starting next week) I'll be in charge of 1/2 dozen RCX units. I have three questions: (the third is most likely to be most interesting for most people) 1) Has anyone actually gotten two RCXs to communicate reliably via IR? (LNP folk (...)   Re: Digital Photography

(...) You've got a few options: 1. Get your film processed onto disk, CD-ROM, or the Kodak Net. I'm sure Kodak's web site has more info, or go down to your local Kodak film developing drop off (not the instore developer) and inquire. Pros: cheap. (...) (27 years ago, 17-Jun-99, to lugnet.general)

RE: Announcement: OnScreen Programming for Legos RCX

I have a program that modifies itself as it goes- at the moment, it merely changes light values to "keep track" of its environment. However, a (hopefully!) soon to be bot will make random guesses as to what it should do and keep track of them, (...) (27 years ago, 17-Jun-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Looking for tall windows

I'm looking for the tall, 1x4x5 high windows in any color. see set (URL) for a sample of what I'm looking for. I would prefer a strait sale. But if you are interested in some of the odd corner pieces or big, colored clear shells from diver sets, we (...) (27 years ago, 17-Jun-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

A bit OT: Behind the Magic CD again

I know the Behind the Magic CD has come up before on this group and it is a highly recommended product, but does it include reference information for the entire Star Wars Universe, or just the original trilogy? I'm specifically interested in any (...) (27 years ago, 17-Jun-99, to lugnet.starwars)

RE: KTVU Offer for Lego Users Club

Hi, Not being a "baylug web coder" this may be a stupid question, but couldn't we just mirror the first two pages of the Baylug site to Bay Insider, and not have to maintain 2 sites? Mark (...) (27 years ago, 17-Jun-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

Re: KTVU Offer for Lego Users Club

I called our KTVU contact, and talked about the Bay Insider parenting project... They have a 2-page minimum to be in the listings. More pages will increase the chances of getting the occassional splash on the Bay Insider main page. We could get (...) (27 years ago, 17-Jun-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

RE: Announcement: OnScreen Programming for Legos RCX

Oooh. Just had a really cool vision. Self modifying code is one thing, but to see a LEGO creation modify its own code by pushing its own buttons... That was a cool vision. Of course the "Modify running programs at your own risk!" kind of puts a (...) (27 years ago, 17-Jun-99, to lugnet.robotics)
