MOC : Moonbase Module - "Where's The Cheese" Moon Tours

Hello, As usual, I get around to building something long after the initial craze died out (expect a hoverbike from me around June). The recent BUGs meet and the chance to join it up to other modules gave me the incentive to build a module. (...) (22 years ago, 7-Jan-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.loc.au) !!

  Re: TECHNIC IS NOT DEAD!!!

(...) Maybe it controls the hose arm on top? (...) Looks like a hose. (...) I'd say definitely 6. (...) Very unlikely. But I don't think you need a tank when you're using the manual pump. (...) Looks like ordinary flex hose to me - dunno why it (...) (22 years ago, 6-Jan-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.technic)

  Re: AT-TE Comments

I'd prefer those thin plastic overlays that stick to plastic but have no adhesive (I don't know if my descrption is well formed). The major advantage would be that I could remove them with ease and not have to worry about residual adhesive. More (...) (22 years ago, 6-Jan-03, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Next Sydfest ?

(...) I just had my horrorscope done and Jan 29 2006 was deemed a most auspicious date for personal reconstruction and moon realignment. But that would be selfish to wait until then, so Sunday Jan 26 2003. (...) That's a battery of flattery. pete.w (...) (22 years ago, 6-Jan-03, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: AT-TE Comments

(...) One of the best advantages to stickers is the whole option setting. (you're not compelled to apply them in contrast to elements already printed.) In this case, I would prefer lego give the option of both stickers or decals for the model. (I (...) (22 years ago, 6-Jan-03, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: New RCX sensor: Wire guidance sensor

(...) Maybe John Barnes would be interested in doing something with this? One other question - do you have any idea how long can the wire can be with the AC generator you built? Regards ROSCO (22 years ago, 6-Jan-03, to lugnet.robotics)

  Western Mass, Lego, and More

Well it has been over a year since I posted in a .local group here on Lugnet. I thought I would post again to maybe entice others in my area to say hello. So, I just read every post ever made to this group! Heheh, well there have only been 9 posts (...) (22 years ago, 6-Jan-03, to lugnet.loc.us.ma.spr)

  Re: 2003 Trains - great!

I think Ben should say if he made the pictures this time. I think Ben would have used more green and red colors, but maybe the low-key approach is part of the trick. (...) (22 years ago, 6-Jan-03, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Copenhagen Metro subway station!

(...) Esben, Very nice interpretation. I really like your favorite picture as well. I love all the tiny little details in the minifigures and what they're doing above the platform. Excellent work, always nice to see a new station. -Kevin (22 years ago, 6-Jan-03, to lugnet.trains)

  AT-TE Comments

I just finished building the AT-TE and what a great set. I do have one beef. The two round tiles on either side with the republic logo are not the printed versions of this part but are stickered. Being somewhat of a LEGO purist, I'm not all that (...) (22 years ago, 6-Jan-03, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: New RCX sensor: Wire guidance sensor

very good application-idea Philippe, and nicely implemented ! Looking at your idea, brings me on another idea. Shouldn't it be possible to build another wire-follower, consisting of just 1 wire, fed by a DC source and a measured with a Hall-sensor? (...) (22 years ago, 6-Jan-03, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Alco c420 2010 Diesel Locomotive and a Generic

(...) Never mind... the 420's a high nose, I got confused with the low nose generic. Both are great models though! (22 years ago, 6-Jan-03, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New Construction Toy In LDraw Format!

(...) I think I still have a copy of the original knex parts, and a slightly reworked version in ldraw units (just in case you like to mix your virtual construction toys). I don't have the lincoln log parts though. Don (22 years ago, 6-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Alco c420 2010 Diesel Locomotive and a Generic

(...) Do you have a source for that assertion? It's been my observation with low noses that they tend to operate short hood first when on lead. It would be a rare road that operated a low nose long hood first as general practice, unless they got it (...) (22 years ago, 6-Jan-03, to lugnet.trains)

In lugnet.trains, Roy Gal writes: snip... (...) Indeed, looks like there are many excellent new sets coming out. It's going to be an expensive year! ;-) My question is, has anyone here setup an account with Marz Distribution? I haven't put a lot of (...) (22 years ago, 6-Jan-03, to lugnet.trains)

Many thanks to everyone who took the time to critique my fishing village. I was overwhelmed by the complements. Manfred, that link was interesting, thanks.
