Re: [rtlToronto] rtlToronto Makes the Front Page. Literally.

(...) <snip> Well, that explains the two mosaic Star logos. Nicely done, Calum--didn't take you long to get a web page done on it. And micely done on the two mosaics Derek, Jeff and Calum. Glad it all came together for the article! Dave K (23 years ago, 22-Dec-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Ciao a tutti dato che nei prossimi giorni prevedo di essere se possibile più preso del solito, ne approfitto per porgere a tutti i migliori augri per un felice natale ed un bellissimo 2003 ricco di mattoncini di tutti i colori ...   Re: we're famous (again)

(...) The front page LEGO masthead is different than the logo that Calum, Derek and Jeff are holding on page A14 Did you guys build 2 logos? That must've taken a bit! My pic--well, he cut off the tower, which is the best part, but Simon was a nice (...) (23 years ago, 22-Dec-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: SW MiniBust-- Imperial Stormtrooper

(...) That's a great idea! Although there's already a precedent for (non-Lego) minibusts to stand on their own-- they're a popular item featuring comic book characters, for instance. Still, it wouldn't be too hard to make a "mecha" or "Bionicle" (...) (23 years ago, 22-Dec-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: SW MiniBust-- Imperial Stormtrooper

(...) Me too! The trooper's guts are not extraordinarily complicated, but I can imagine that different heads would necessitate different platforms-- I'm very curious to see what people could devise with a 4 stud "baseline" for width. Thanks for (...) (23 years ago, 22-Dec-02, to lugnet.starwars)

[rtlToronto] rtlToronto Makes the Front Page. Literally.

The December 22nd, 2002 Sunday edition of the Toronto Star features a Lego brick mosaic of the paper's banner, in place of the normal banner on the top of the front page. It also includes a detailed article about rtlToronto and Lego enthusiasts in (...) (23 years ago, 22-Dec-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.loc.ca, lugnet.announce, lugnet.mediawatch) !!

Re: Problems with the linux version

Hi Reto! I just set it up two weeks ago, here is what I did (in general description): How to set up leJOS in Linux and use the USB Mindstorms Legotower: * get current CVS version because leJOS 2.0 does not support the USB Tower in Linux. Look at (...) (23 years ago, 22-Dec-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Multiple parts was Re: Mac LDraw Viewer comments

(...) Sorry, I didn't know that. (...) Does BrickDraw3D Carbon support adding bricks? One observation about BrickDraw3D Carbon vs Classic is that the Classic application is able to rotate a brick more smoothly. It is stange that the application (...)   Re: the perfect way to sell lego trains

(...) I think it depends on where they are being sold. In retail America (which is what I consider in most of this post) this probably wouldn't work too well. In stores like TRU/Walmart/Target/... you need a set that is (a) affordable and (b) has (...) (23 years ago, 22-Dec-02, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.dear-lego)

  we're famous (again)

A big kudos to Calum, Derek, Jeff W, You guys ROCK!!!! I've got my copy's. I'm happy with the article.....   Re: SW MiniBust-- Imperial Stormtrooper

This looks excellent....it's like that 2x3 wing nose was made for it. This would be great to see produced - packaged much like the Bionicle masks. And interesting marketing twist would be to sell the pieces for the head, yet the instructions (...) (23 years ago, 22-Dec-02, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Animals!

(...) Actually, LEGO could provide a service of Timmy-recycling: one would deliver the Timmy and would get a voucher for a brand new minifig. This could help solve the Timmy overpopulation in so many collections... If only that container that fell (...) (23 years ago, 22-Dec-02, to lugnet.general)

Re: MOC: PE-1 Duster (seed part)

  Outlined part edges in L3P?

Hi Lars, I was wondering if you had ever considered adding a feature to L3P to provide the lines at edges of bricks, so that we don't have to use MEGAPOV to do so? The advantages are that we would not have to play with MEGAPOV settings to get them (...) (23 years ago, 22-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad)
