Re: NEW LEGO Direct LEGEND #10041

(...) *sniff*...this is the BEST Lego set & Lego news I've Ever seen! *sniff* Jeff--I've been waiting for this for soooo long! (23 years ago, 21-Dec-02, to lugnet.year.2003)

Solider buckets and bucketing soldiers (was Re: Design your own 1000 piece tub)

(...) Maybe 'most people not in Tom's circle' :-) Richie's circle is rather impressive affair in my experience. Largely happy and open-hearted folks too. Go figure. Not so auspicious a circle as the inestimable Tom no doubt (perish the thought), but (...) (23 years ago, 21-Dec-02, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Sunday Star Logo

This is one day that didn't go anything like it was planned: It starts this morning with my son being violently ill... Clean up + waiting for the doctor's office to open + travel time + waiting to see the doctor (leaving one wondering what the point (...) (23 years ago, 21-Dec-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Large LDraw/MPD Files?

(...) I meant basically what you just said. Ldglite doesn't create a new copy of the part each time it is used; LDView does. I do this for various reasons, but I believe that when I go back and revisit those reasons now with the advantage of (...) (23 years ago, 21-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Space legends, my thoughts...

(...) I think 6973 was a great space set. Maybe not the greatest, but definitely in the top 5. The color scheme rankles, but it has a very high playability factor. I bought it 5 years ago when it was new and I was in my mid-20's and loved it. Lots (...) (23 years ago, 21-Dec-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Space legends, my thoughts...

(...) LEGO has said (through the voice of Brad Justus) that there is no contractual restriction in the Star Wars license; it's just good marketing sense to not detract from the Star Wars market share by introducing competing sets. The cost of (...) (23 years ago, 21-Dec-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Space legends, my thoughts...

(...) Because the original design was defective. The chinstrap broke too easily. --Bill. (23 years ago, 21-Dec-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Space legends, my thoughts...

(...) Classic Space is great in general, but there are exceptions. Nothing you could put in a Walking Astro Grappler would make it *not* look crap. That's probably the lamest set LEGO ever made, not counting the Time Twisters line I suppose. But I (...) (23 years ago, 21-Dec-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Please read this!

(...) Okay, that's probably true. However, unlike many others, I usually tend to be unorthodox and look from the other side of the boundary. Why borrow from someone else when I can create my own creatures/ continguincy? (okay, I admit I have used (...) (23 years ago, 21-Dec-02, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general)

  Re: Motorized point

(...) It's been much better than 95% for me. I wonder if there's something wrong in my drawing. Sounds like there's too much play somewhere. This wasn't a problem for me. The only problem I has was the base lifting off the track. A 2 x 6 plate over (...) (23 years ago, 20-Dec-02, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

Re: New primitive: chord.dat (not the final name)

Re: Andreas' big foot 4x4 truck - WOW!!!! A marvel of raw mechanical proficiency!

Sorry if I cannot reply you soon, but I don't speak English very well and someone has to translate for me. For this reason I cannot put the image descriptions under the LEGO photos! !-(((((( It's always pleasant receiving compliments, above all, (...) (23 years ago, 21-Dec-02, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Please read this!

(...) Subconsciously take some of the ideas? haha! The way we see castle worlds like Ikros is because of tolkien. Warhammer, the popular minitures game, owes alot to the Lord of the Rings trilogy. so does the Sword of Shannara and the other (...) (23 years ago, 21-Dec-02, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general)

Re: RIDING ON THE HORSE !!(A new idea about Minifig Motorcycles.)

Very nice! It's a great way to build a motorcycle if you don't have one of the official LEGO models. But do you need the wheels from the official LEGO motorcycle? Also, how well does it hold together? Can it be played with, or is it only good for (...) (23 years ago, 21-Dec-02, to lugnet.town)

If you haven't seen it, check out my garbage truck: (URL) more of a traditional Mack Truck style, rather than one of these newfangled cab-over jobs. --Bill. (...) (23 years ago, 21-Dec-02, to lugnet.town)

  Re: DCC and the future

(...) Oh, I see. [...] (...) *My* experiments? NBL. I'm a LEGO purist, remember? I just pointed out a possible LEGO solution to the problem, but I see now that it won't work... --Bill. (23 years ago, 20-Dec-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secretions+handy MOD hint

Re: Orient sets pictured at S@H

(...) The S@H prices are basically the same as Michael posted earlier as the RRP for Australia. But as any regular loc.au viewer knows, the BURP (Basically Unrecommended Retail Price aka RRP) varies to the BIG WARP (BIG W Accepted Retail Price) to (...) (23 years ago, 20-Dec-02, to lugnet.loc.au)
