This is one day that didn't go anything like it was planned:
It starts this morning with my son being violently ill...
Clean up + waiting for the doctor's office to open + travel time +
waiting to see the doctor (leaving one wondering what the point in
making an "appointment" is) - about 4 hours.
Followed closely by HRDC calling to tell me that some newly introduced
rules and reg's require me to sign an affidavit confirming that
paperwork I handed in on Tuesday represents the truth, the whole
truth, and nothing but the truth (apparently I didn't need this on
Tuesday)...
Travel time (1/2hour) + waiting in line time (1hr 12min) + time to
read and sign affidavit (<2min [ARRRGH!]) + travel time home (1/2hour)
Followed by a very late lunch...
Make lunch (Spaghetti) (10min) + start on Star Logo project + at one
point, place bowl near edge of cluttered desk, not noticing the white
sloped bricks, leading to bowl sliding off desk and dumping spaghetti
and sauce on my pants, chair, slippers and carpet + scream (3sec) +
steam clean carpet and upholstery (20 min)
Finally some time to build....
Oh wait... Mom wants to go shopping for groceries
Look after kids (1hr 20min)
Make and eat a late dinner (45min)
Plus numerous incidental things...(like trying to give a sick,
screaming toddler his medicine)
Whew.
What was it I said in an earlier post? I'd have lots of time on my
hands today?
So here it is: 8:15PM and I FINALLY have some time to myself (Mom's
putting them to bed), but then there's the rest of Lord of the Rings
that we didn't watch last night (DVD is due back tomorrow morning).
Who am I kidding? I'm never going to finish this by tomorrow.
I just hope Calum is having better luck.

| Chris (the Star reporter) has contacted me tonight. His editor thought it'd be a great idea id someone could build the Sunday Star logo out of LEGO bricks by Saturday. Instead of their usual logo, they'd run the pic of the LEGO Star logo in its (...) (22 years ago, 20-Dec-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
