Re: The Gary Louie Memorial Auction

(...) Hey! I thought you were going to email the next time you had an auction! I've probably missed it all now, eh? Sarah HEacock sarah@eskimo.com (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

  Re: Making accurate Y-Wing engines

(...) Two layers of Macaroni bricks would work well, too. It would make the engines longer and you'd have to alternate them, but I think it would work. Jeff (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Lego "pegging" disks

(...) Am I absolutely dreaming, or was there an earlier set of gears which were all grey? I seem to remember having Lego gears, but definitely don't remember multi-color ones. Such a set would have been from the early 70s (or possibly earlier if we (...) (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.build)

Re: Torso number was Forestman Torso was Voting Page

(...) Are you suggesting using the spare character as a theme-flag, or are you thinking of something else entirely? It would be kind of cool to use a one- or two-character sub-theme id, and then number within that theme. So if all the Ice Planet (...) (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: a few 8448s soon available in US

Also, keep in mind that the fact that this set appears in the in-box Technic catalog, and not the in-box Lego Direct Technic catalog, suggests that it will be available through retail outlets (though probably not Target, K-Mart, WalMart, etc.; (...) (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: TPM Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

(...) How similar is the rest of the cd when compared to Duel of the Fates? I wasn't terribly impressed with DotF, but with what everyone is saying, I want to listen to the cd. Maybe it is at some of the listening stations at record stores (anyone (...) (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: lego color names (what color is the starwars windscreen)

(...) What platform and development system are you using for your inventory program? I have been contemplating a Windows 95 Delphi based inventory database. I have contemplated making it fairly complex with multiple linked tables (for example a (...) (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.db.inv, lugnet.admin.database)

  Re: Rock Raiders out

(...) What I was real curious is whether that "fender" piece is at all compatible with the ship hulls. Is the bin a new part, or is it the dump truck bin? The cockpit parts look usefull though. (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Torso number was Forestman Torso was Voting Page

(...) So would be be alright to make the M:Tron torso be 974p068.dat, to maintain that consistency? Steve (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Unofficial Part: 2x2 Plate with White Hubs

  Re: LEGO Racers screenshot

(...) Yep. No pool of red-pixels-resembling-blood, though, so it must be OK. Steve (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Running LDraw via a DOS emulator?

(...) Are you sure the current directory is set to c:\ldraw when you start up LEdit? I seem to remember failing to load RTM being caused by RTM not being in the current directory... Steve (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Custom TIE/ln Fighter

Very nice, Jeff. Your model shows that the TIE could have been done just fine without the new "blocky" bracket pieces. I'll bet your wings even come off easily enough. I wish there were a good way to model the diagonal lines on the wings, though. (...) (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

  new technic part

The rather odd-looking 8252 Beach Buster uses a strange new part to hold its separate modules together. The shape is like half a friction peg, then a stop bushing, and then another half friction peg; this setup twice side-by-side, bridged via the (...) (27 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.general)

  Go to Charlotte, NC...
