Two layers of Macaroni bricks would work well, too. It would make the engines
longer and you'd have to alternate them, but I think it would work.

| (...) How would that work? You'd still end up with odd tile edges. The happy thing is that I also have both of those ancient sets, so I have a pair of those round 4x4 turntables! AFAIK, they were never in any colour but black. But you know what (...) (26 years ago, 14-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

| (...) Would you really need two layers? I don't have any macaroni bricks handy, but from what I remember (and from LDraw), you should be able to replace the second-to-last 4x4 cylinder brick with 4 macaroni bricks, and then put the final 4x4 (...) (26 years ago, 14-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

| The only thing that really ever bugged me about the new Y-Wing is the improperly oriented engine struts. If you attached a 4x4 square plate to the engine, the struts should be at the corners, not in the middle of the sides, as they are. I've been (...) (26 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)
