I know James Jessiman had a fairly extensive (but certainly not exhaustive) database on what parts came with what sets in what colors in what years. I'm not sure if it's still available. As far as a LUGNET project, there is the lugnet.db.inv group (...) (27 years ago, 12-May-99, to lugnet.faq)

I know its off topic but I got tickets I was on MovieFone starting at 2:25EDT and just stayed active enough for them not to kick me off and when 3:00 came I got the Tix's for the time I wanted but at my #2 theater because my #1 was having technical (...) Hey all, Is there any way I can find out information about specific Lego pieces? Suppose I wanted to find out if orange 2x2 macaroni pieces were ever sold -- how would I find out if they were?
