I had my robot in a box for about two weeks when I went to turn it on the battery was dead. Now when I turn it on nothing happens the LEDs don't go on and nothing happens, except I can smell burning. You could try to use the angle brackets to mount large plates vertically. That would give you about 6 or 6.5 studs of width. Of course they will increase the width of the train car. I finally got my RCX built into a train last night (sorry, no pictures yet). Initially I didn't think it would fit, the darn thing is so big.
