Re: LEGO Company Welcomes Adult LEGO Enthusiasts

(...) Yes, I saw that you'd posted a few message over the last few days. My impression of you is a general skeptic - you'll believe something when it happens. So I was a bit surprised on the message you posted. Not a bad surprise. Just a surprise. (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  World Cup Jerseys

I've been re-drawing the jerseys from the Lego download and started looking to re-create the "Official" jerseys from world cup teams. I've done the French, German, Canadian, Norwegian, and Wales teams... What other jerseys would be neat to recreate (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.sports)

  Re: (Non-LEGO) Recommendation

(...) Sorry it took me so long to respond (I've been away from the net for about a week). Here are a few links: I was suprised to have little luck finding much on the web. I've enclosed 3 articles from the Corpus Christi Caller Times - it seems that (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Custom Built LEGO Sets in 2002

(...) You'd have to trust the program, of course -- that it wouldn't sneakily upload the model as well as the parts list. If you don't have the source code to the program or you aren't able to reverse-engineer it, lord knows what it's doing. --Todd (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.general)

Re: Libertador - Light Penetration Fighter

(...) So? That's nothing. My civilisation evolved past fighters a long time ago. We fly around in space with jetpacks that contain a Cyttorak crystal, which give our troopers totally inpenetrable defense. If they deem it necessary to take out (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: LEGO Company Welcomes Adult LEGO Enthusiasts

(...) Why does it disappoint you? I've spent all my working life trying to get others to copy me. (...) I doubt LEGO will put GoBed sets in the shops. Or if they did, they'd dumb them down a little - would have accept that at even 0.006 / brick? (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: Custom Built LEGO Sets in 2002

(...) It sounds like this method could be useful for bulk orders as well. All you would have to do is stack up the parts/colors you want (via LEGO/CAD) without having to assemble them into a structure. The whole "building" issue could be moot. Gary (...) Of course, it makes it all pretty easy when you can invent your own technology. Personally, the doohickey coil in my Spiffcraft is proof against any weapon. Mmmmm, leather seat. ~Mark "Muffin Head" Sandlin (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.space)
