Re: Classic Space set design and building contest

(...) Thanks Paul, But who's to say you couldn't make that too? Maybe there are a number of variations based on the Starfleet platform. ;^) ~Mark "Muffin Head" Sandlin (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)

Re: [Fwd: Mindstorm Mall Tour looking for a few good LUGs]

Normally I'd jump at the chance, especially since 95% of my train buys have arrived, but I can't - I can't even make the meeting - because I've been cast in the Dickens Fair (sort of like the Renaissance Fair, only different) and weekends from 11/4 (...)   Re: Space Base Ideas?

Hi Wayne. I actually only bought two 6199's and I got the other two baseplates off eBay. The Rover that you see me working on is something on which I've been collaborating with Mark Rideout. It's fallen by the wayside at the moment because we (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.aquazone)

Bryan, Thanks for the reference but I need to give credit where due. Ben Fleskes originally designed the Amtrak style engine (of course I did embellish it to its current greatness ;) ) SteveB (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: newbie here

(...) Thanks for the compliments on my town. My space area is not the greatest, but I'm fond of my "flying box". It's not the most realistic model, but look at the Borg. :) White House was named after an inn that was white. Back in the day, (1800's) (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.people.newbie)

  Re: Medieval Brikwars in November!

(...) To be clear, we're talking about TL2 and below, and everything to be bought with the BW2000 rules. Given that TL, I think that 350 points ought to be enough for *anybody*... in fact, we might want to consider an even lower number. When you (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: [Fwd: Mindstorm Mall Tour looking for a few good LUGs]

I'd sure like to. Having a job gets in the way, but it would be nice if we could coordinate an evening or afternoon. Any ideas for an RIS controlled train display? Log mill? Coal mine? What would work well? There's enough time to build something, (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

Re: Small cutter bows (6x7 bow pieces)

Alpha team - Doc Savage team ?

Hello Adventures, Well the new line "Alpha Team" looks to be a modern spin off from the Adventures line. When I saw all the team member character mininfig faces I was instantly reminded of Doc Savage and his team of crime-busters. If I am not (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: Small cutter bows (6x7 bow pieces)

However, until they were largely out of the 'overlap zone,' most steamers still carried a rig--the speed issue is why the Navy was very late in adopting steam propulsion as a standard, and even then only (...) (URL) is about the smallest fully enclosed minifig space vehicle I could get. A minifig is buckled in with a rubber band. Perhaps I'll build a space house next. </Alan> (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.space)

  Re: they are here...

We love their products, so of course we want to give them input, hear about what they're doing, help them out in doing even better products. We want a UCS AT-ST, a UCS Naboo Fighter, a (...)
