Re: Hacked my first part -- 4349 Town Loudhailer

(...) Man, I gotta be coming across as the world's biggest jerk. Sorry, Steve, I was wrong; LDAO wasn't changing line numbers on me. LEdit is the one changing the 5's to 4's. Cheers, - jsproat (26 years ago, 17-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: 8458 Silver Champion is incredible!

(...) I don't see where you got this, Adam. kbkids.com doesn't list it (unless I'm missing something), toysmart.com is out of business, and etoys.com (as usual) is totally unresponsive. Does anyone else know: - Why 8445 was recalled? - Where I can (...) (26 years ago, 17-Aug-00, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Lego Breaks

(...) And what exactly are "work hours" anyway? The software engineers in my company work well beyond traditional work hours, so its hard to say they can't play with Legos between 9 and 5 if they are also working to midnight often :) -Ben ---...--- (...)   Re: Major revision/expansion of my wantlist page

(...) "I refuse to answer on account whatever I say might incriminate me". When it comes to slow service, no one has cast a wider net... I just have so little time -- what working 57 miles away from the house (2 hours daily commute), stopping at my (...) (26 years ago, 17-Aug-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: Finally!!!

(...) Yes, the arms are built on pins, so the weapons are really modular. I've built these in a bunch of different mission configs with different weapons. Maybe later I'll put some of them up on Brickshelf. I'd love to see some of these guys in a (...) (26 years ago, 17-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: Harry Potter (Film) Set

Yeah, I've heard it pronounced both ways. I stayed in Oxford for a while, and Gloucester Green is the name of the bus station there. Perhaps its pronounced differently in Oxfordshire. Gary Istok (...) (26 years ago, 17-Aug-00, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.uk)

  RE: Lego Breaks

That's funny--I didn't remember that the Lego privileges [It's darned awkward at times to construct sentences without using the word _Legos_!] were taken away ... just the fact that all the engineers were into them. We are a fairly small company (or (...) (26 years ago, 17-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: LEGO, August 15th Battle Write-up

(...) We seem to have a group supporting each name. Personally, I favor BLOC. Sometime back I posted a proposal for a pair of names. Buckeye LEGO Owner's Club and Brikwar's Legions, Ohio Chapter. The idea was that the former would be the overall (...) (26 years ago, 17-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.us.oh)

Re: Edmonton Train Show - Intermodal Containers

Steve, I don't quite understand your suggestions. All of my containers have doors on one or both ends. I could easily place a paper with my name inside each of mine, or put a certain color brick inside. The doors are the limiting factor for me, they (...)   Re: Project proposal: Seven Wonders of the LEGO World

(...) I'm willing to help. I don't have tons of time, but I'm game. I'm mostly a 'puter person so you might be able to convince me to write or whatever. I think it's a great idea. (26 years ago, 17-Aug-00, to lugnet.publish)

  RE: Lego Breaks

The answer to good casters seems to revolve (excuse the pun) around the caster radius. Using a narrow wheel (to limit turning friction) helps. The real key is the distance from the wheel's axle to the caster's axis of rotation. The bigger the (...) (26 years ago, 17-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: 8458 Silver Champion is incredible!

(...) Sorry, I never tried adding it to my cart at toysmart, I didn't know they tanked. As far as kbkids, it was there when I looked, but you're right, not today. I just had one in my cart at etoys.com about two minutes ago, and started going (...) (26 years ago, 17-Aug-00, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Massive Website Makeover and Update
