Re: Port problem with RCXCC (and not with nqcc)

(...) No handshaking is used with NQC. The packet protocol itself uses ACKs which in effect perform control flow (everything is done lock-step). Dave (27 years ago, 6-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

AHHGGG, my harddrive crashed and in the process of rebuilding my intire system. I saw where the RCXCC was updated to Ver 2.0, but lost the web address. Could some one send it to me or repost to the list. Thanks, John A. Donaldson -- Did you check (...) (27 years ago, 6-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Ideas for a Science Fair Project

I just took the Six-Sigma Course at work. In it we did a real neat experiment. We made paper heliocopters out of paper. Then we tested it by dropping it from a pre-determind height. Then we changed to wing lenght, tested, added weight, tested, (...) (27 years ago, 6-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  No Target Clearances near me!

I was just at Target today, and looked on the Lego aisle. I didn't see anything marked clearance. There was a small Lego wild west section down the aisles a little ways that was on clearance, from $7 to $4. Also, there were few random Lego and Duplo (...) Putting together Legos isn't likely to impress the judges, but using a Lego creation could well be nifty. I propose the following: make a robot that will throw a paper airplane.   Re: NT 4.0 and Mindstorm ?

Elmer, works fine for me. I successfully installed Mindstorms on a notebook and desktop. Both systems run under NT4.0 Workstation and SP3.   RE: RCX Limitations, griping, etc. :)

Don't forget the venerable 6811-based, sensor-rich, Rug Warrior Pro. If you like LEGO RCX, you'll like this one alot. A bit expensive though -- I paid about US$550.
