Re: Henry the Horse Trivia Quiz

(...) My best guess for the album is 'Abbey Road' origionally released in 1969... No clue what song however, I just figured the album out by the 'hint'. I like quizzes :-) -Frank (26 years ago, 6-Apr-00, to lugnet.fabuland, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Shipping to Canada, help!

I've shipped a 7150 to Canada using small packets airmail, but now my buyer says the post office called him and wants an additional $9 and change. Any idea what is going on here? Since I mailed the package at the post office I'm sure the postage is (...) (26 years ago, 6-Apr-00, to lugnet.market.shipping)

Re: Sneak peek of my Blacktron site

I used the technic steering assembly found an many cheaper Technic models. It did take up a good sized chunk of floor space, but it looks cool as a sterring assenbly and drive unit. The APC can fit 5 minifigs plus the driver (6 in the back if they (...) (26 years ago, 6-Apr-00, to lugnet.space)

An anteater because of the snout like front. My early gestural drawings of the ship made it look like a rhino. Which it still kinda does, but the cockpit makes it look like some kind of freaky alien rhino thing. Maybe it is like some sort of (...) (26 years ago, 6-Apr-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: Sneak peek of my Blacktron site

Those control tiles also come in blacktron sets. I wanted to stay faithful to the original Blacktron series by only using parts from those sets. There are a few exceptions though (for example the yellow 4x4 rounds usedin the engines of te lander). (...) (26 years ago, 6-Apr-00, to lugnet.space)

In lugnet.market.auction, Lawrence Wilkes writes: <shnip> (...) I've run across this from time to time.   Re: Heraldry for future sets:

(...) Personally I really don't like stickers. I see what you mean in terms of customizing the torso's and shields to your liking but I would prefer printed torso's and shields to stickered ones.   Re: Shipping to Canada, help!

(...) I doubt that additional postage is required. The $9 is probably the amount that needs to be paid for customs. LEGO is NOT duty free going into Canada, and I guess there's a 50/50 chance of getting charged for duties each time you receive (...) (26 years ago, 6-Apr-00, to lugnet.market.shipping)

  Re: Shipping to Canada, help!

(...) (no, but I've got lots of experience on the receiving end) It won't (or better not be!) a duty. Duties are paid at the receiving end, and the only duty applying to Lego is a flat 7% GST on the declared value + $5 handling fee, AFAIK but (...)   Re: Output to file option for IC?

  Mindstorms RIS 1.5 (9747) price?

Hi. Is this set gonna be replaced in the near future? I just picked up two sets for DM 199 (about USD 100) each here in Germany. All other stores I called today asked between 399 and 449. The Droid Dev kit sold for DM 109 in that store. Frank (26 years ago, 6-Apr-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)
