I just bought a Vector 2X electronic compass for a project. In looking at it the manual, I see that if the 2X is run in slave mode I can clock out data from it at my leisure using any digital pins available on the Handy Board. This could almost be (...) I'm pretty sure that i have used the feature in the software w/o a problem to set the autoshut to another time interval, including never shutting off. I know this doesn't exactly answer the question, but maybe its a bug somewhere that will resolve (...) (26 years ago, 15-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Does anyone know if handyboard can run more than four dc-motors? I want to be able to control a complex lego construction, with full control of all motors at once. I put some info on what I have found using a camera with the Mars Expansion Pack on my small web pages. The USB cable is not a good umbilical, stiff. I finally added the system load check to the DAT explorer so I can leave it online. Previously some nasty web grabber programs were forking 25+ paralell povray processes and grinding the machine to a halt. Now if the system load is above 2.0 you (...)
