I've seen a few 8485 Technic Control Center for sale at various online sites, it's the one that builds the helicopter or dinosaur and has some sort of control panel. Your right, I'm against 8 wide and havn't built any 8 wide. Why not? Lots of reasons: 1) 8 wide demands larger scenery and buildings. If your logic for building 8 wide is because LEGO minifig trucks are 6 wide then you should make all your buildings (...) (25 years ago, 24-Feb-00, to lugnet.trains)

(...) eBay has what they call Personal Shopper, which will tell you if some search term you specify comes up for auction. I can't imagine giving it "lego*" as a search term... you'd be flooded! I also like using technic pegs for machine guns (or rail guns or laser cannons or ...), I first saw them being used by Jeremy Sproat and, I think, Pat Justison, come to think of it, even some of my friends at school were telling me about using them (...) AHA....They are Lego with self adhesive gold vinyl wrapped around them...thus being able to unstick it when I need the cylnders:)....beats painting them and I ran out of yellow cylnders!! (...) (25 years ago, 24-Feb-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)
