Ok... so it was a joke. albeit a rather thin one.

I made the pic. I was working on some stuff for a future pcs website and
thought it would be fun to make a joke.  I slapped on a lego logo and some
numbers and went from there.
I involved Kyle Keppler who would post the pic as if he found it, and Tim
Courtney, who would post that he knew a rumor.  Tim Deering asked me about
it via IM and we got him in on it...

Ya, it wasn't the most well concieved joke (Lego wouldn't use the name PCS,
etc).  But, if ya know it's a joke, contact the jokers and get on board,
don't kill it!! :-)

Anyway, thanks for being slightly entertained :-D

(...) What would've been really good is if you'd got Lego to actually post it on their official site for the duration of April 1. Now that would've been amusing... The April fool over on the Zoids message group was interesting. Some guy posted that (...) (21 years ago, 2-Apr-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.general)

(...) Well, as already told, you had me going there. Particularly after some comments were made following the LEGO Direct post. You had me until I e-mailed Kyle for the image. Once I saw Tim was involved, the suspicions started to go up again. Great gaff gents... -Gil PS. Excellent graphics BTW - can't wait for the site and big PreClassy momma. (...) (21 years ago, 2-Apr-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.general)

(...) Makes me feel disappointed though... I would really, really have liked to buy one of that particular ship. It's one of my favourite MOCs ever. I wonder how much a custom kit would be, with those curved windows? Cheers, Paul (21 years ago, 3-Apr-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.general)

I was looking through the weatlh of knowledge in the lego.com press area when something popped out at me yesterday. Today I went back to post about it, but it's either gone, or so buried there was no chance I'd ever find it again. But thantks to the (...)
