Before we even know LEGO would release it's own radio controlled bulldozer I started to build my own one in April 2006. As usual I wanted to but a set which wasn't in LEGOs assortment anymore and after visiting a few toy shops I found my copy of set (...) Hallo Eric Thanks for your interesting in my crane. I did offset the weels from the hubs, because the pivoting-point come closer to the middle from the wheel, so it needs not to much space for the wheels, when they are steered. Beat (17 years ago, 13-Mar-07, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.modelteam)

(...) One question I have regarding the boom luffing: from your pics it looks like the drive shaft also takes the load on the "hydraulic ram". Does the heavy load add a lot to the friction? I think this is a good looking model. Its nice to see Lego is till doing UCS type models that are other things then Star Wars. I showed it to my Dad who works at a boeing plant when he got home, and he said that he hadn't heard anything from anyone (...) Hello Dennis, you sure know how to pick a good spot to photograph your models. If you look at the pictures from a bit of a distance, you could definitely think that these are real trucks and not Lego models. There is nothing in the background that (...) Nice truck! The fact that the doors to the tractor can open is great! (If only your Liebherr LG 1550 had this op). How did you fix the trailer wheels to steer?
