I heard through the grapevine that someone at LD was personally insulted
by the above link. I didn't mean it at all as a personal insult but to
illustrate Eric Joslin's point, quoted above, and another of his which I
snipped earlier but will repeat here:

In other words, the wrong impression can be sent by silence, especially when
expectations have been set toward not expecting silence. I hope this is all
water under the bridge by now, so I just wanted to clarify the point of the
above -- no personal attack was intended. I should have offset the link with
a disclaimer to that effect, but I thought it was clear from the context. My
apologies to those offended.
I understand that dealing with vitriolic remarks is extremely challenging.
