Ok, I know this thread has been beaten into the ground, but I have to say this
one thing. According to Jimmy, he says that there will be something added to
the S@H catalog. Some long requested wishes will soon be granted. Well, I
don't know about the rest of you castle heads, but I know what this wish is.
What could it be praytell? Well, we wish for accessory packs. But this is not
what we're going to get. You see, most of the accessory pack pieces, I would
bet, have had their molds moth balled. For instance, the forestman hats and
the grille helms that I'm so desperately after. The old armor too, I would bet
has had it's mold moth balled. Because, as I have read in posts in the .S@H
category of lugnet, S@H is only given what the main office wants them to get,
S@H has no ability to actually make parts. So, what is left?
Simple. What is the one thing that all novice castle heads are DIEING to get
their hands on? Castle Walls. It is my strong belief that S@H will start
selling a bulk castle wall pack containing perhaps one of three colors and in
two or three styles.
Here are my reasons behind this theory. Of all the pieces you can buy on the
market today, few of the pieces are totally just "castle," so if S@H is going
to start selling something thats going to make us castle fans happy, I would
bet that it is going to have to be something exclusively castle. OK, that
limits it down to castle sets and castle bulk pieces. Since, as I have already
said, I suspect the old castle molds are already mothballed, that would rule
out the older sets being re-released. That would also limit what bulk pieces
could be sold. So, what is there that LEGO makes now that is exclusively
castle? Minifig accessories, castle walls and castle adornments. Since LEGO
has introduced the small, and relatively cheap chrome series, most minifig
elements are easy to obtain, so an accessory pack probably wouldn't be a big
seller. Plus, we haven't been asking for accessory packs for all that long,
and if whatever the release is is something we've been dieing to have,
accessory packs isn't it. So that leaves castle walls and castle adornments.
Well, castle adornments, such as the tan lion head brick, haven't been around
too long. Like the accessories, we haven't been asking for them too readily.
So what does that leave?
Castle Walls. A castle wall bulk pack is the most logical and cost effective
thing that Lego could produce. They already have the molds in use, they
already have the colors in which to mold them, and it's something that novice
castle heads have been begging for ever since the retirement of the elder
castle sets.
I have no informants, I have no inside information, this is all just
conjecture. It's the best theory there is out there for me, at least.

| (...) Well, I'm not sure that this means that it's only the S@H dept. that's doing this, although it could be. My guess is that it's one of three things: - Accessory pack w/ Kinghts' Kingdom equipment - Bulk ordering for castle parts - Something (...) (23 years ago, 9-May-01, to lugnet.castle)

| NOOO...OOOooo not castle walls, who builds with them anyway? I've got 3 shoebox size containers full of them and I never use them. BRICKS... and more BRICKS... that's all I need, cool bricks, corner slopes 33, 45, 66? (extreme) in all colors, 2x2 (...) (23 years ago, 10-May-01, to lugnet.castle)
