  Re: Alpha Team Equipment

Yeah, I saw that walking computer thing and thought it was odd too. But did you see that sinister looking guy on the top right of that same pic? My guess that it's probably the main 'bad guy' assuming that Alpha team are 'good guys' ~Adam (...) (26 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.year.2001)

  Re: Alpha Team Equipment

The one female Alpha Team member looks like she has the perfect head for a Lara Croft minifig, she has the red hair too, just needs to be in the Jedi braid and it would be perfect, just add wetsuit. Jason F. (26 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.year.2001)

  Re: LEGO 2001

(...) My guess is a pneumatic transport system. See (URL) be way cool to combine a couple of these with a monorail system in a huge space base. John AFOL and his money are soon parted. (26 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.year.2001)

(...) <<<Snip: Bunch of good comments>>> (...) I hesitate to respond in such an "in your face" manner, but I consider this an over-compensation for the last TLC alien race: Insectoids If aliens really are that ugly, no wonder were always trying to (...)   Re: LEGO 2001

(...) Not sure; the ninja/adventurer walls slope is 4 (length, including last stud) over a height of 5 bricks, and I think the arctic/Town jr. slopes are.... no, wait... ummm... ;-) I don't have them here, but from the pics they look like 5 studs (...)   Re: LEGO 2001

Moved from .starwars to .year.2001 (...) Looking at... (URL) I can't help noticing the new (or perhaps renewed?) torsos... That director vest hasn't been anywhere before, has it? Nor has the stunt-man's. And the camera-guy's shirt looks new too, but (...) (26 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.year.2001)

  Re: LEGO 2001

(...) That would make a big difference...I haven't really examined the sets parts-wise much. I guess I am more of a set collector than builder. (...) I like the idea behind the Mars stuff...the aliens look too cute to me, though. I'm sure we'll see (...) (26 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.year.2001)

  Bionicle Masks

I just looked at the Bionicle scan and it looks okay. I might get some, but if the original Throwbots go on good clearance I will buy them instead. I don't understand about collecting masks. Can you put the bionicle head on a minifig? And why didn't (...) (26 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.year.2001)

  Re: LEGO 2001

(...) Actually, since I posted, I noticed something else- this is actually the contents of *two* seperate catalogues- the regular System one, and the Technic one. Since they don't *usually* package the two catalogues in the same sets (as in, I've (...) (26 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.year.2001)

  Re: LEGO 2001

(...) The direct link (URL) Harry Potter on the way later this year and their new catalog's look, appears Lego continues to inch even more towards licensing on future releases and believe you me I hate most of it so far except for Star Wars Classic (...)   Life on Mars air-pump function

So, with these new scans, can anyone actually tell what the pump on the Mars Base thing does? (URL) looks like one of the pipes might shoot the little alien guy through the tube, but what do the other two lines (the ones with the gates) do? It is (...)   Re: Alpha Team Equipment

(...) I must agree that it looks a lot like Res-Q, but I like that color scheme (Blacktron I with trans-blue instead of trans-yellow) so I don't mind. It looks like they have a Divers sub, too. The black/yellow/trans-a...trans-blue scheme appears to (...) (26 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.year.2001)

  Re: LEGO 2001

Hmmm. I think you are right. I haven't really looked at any of the Arctic sets before. They are pretty big slopes, that's for sure. Hmmm. Does that mean that they have the same angle as the sloped Ninja walls? -Andy Lynch ----- Original Message (...) (26 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.year.2001)

  Re: New canopies/pieces

It looks to me like the Imperial shuttle has the new 6-wide canopy piece from the Space Port sets, only it's in the smoke color (yay!) and has printing on it (boo!). Dave Lorbaat <eric@nospam.thirteen.net> wrote in message (...) (26 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.year.2001)
