  Signs, Signs, everywhere a Sign

What a sight to see while traveling on GA HWY 20 through Forsyth county, too bad the streets aren't littered with LEGO bricks. (URL) J. Trobaugh North Georgia LEGO Train Club (URL) (23 years ago, 22-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

Re: Signs, Signs, everywhere a Sign

I dont know it looks like its been tampered with, it looks like everything was erased in the box and someone put in NGLTC. But i could be wrong (as always) and if it were/is true-- cool. (...) (23 years ago, 22-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

(...) Are Belong To Us'. Like, you gotta see it. It's totally amazing they'd put it up. Jason J Railton (23 years ago, 22-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

Re: Signs, Signs, everywhere a Sign

(...) Yeah. But consider that this time last year, there were also German DCC engine "catalogue scans"... you .trains folks are *easily* the most devious lot around! And impatient too! ;) In all seriousness, though, how much does adopting a stretch (...) (23 years ago, 22-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

Re: Signs, Signs, everywhere a Sign

As you can tell it wasn't a very sunny day when I took the picture. I'll have to go back on a nicer day and get a better picture, I think that reflective paint the DOT uses on signs does funny things with the camera. And to answer earlier questions, (...)   Re: Signs, Signs, everywhere a Sign

(...) The sign was probably re-painted. There is some amount of turnover of these (groups get all charged up to do the work, and then the dedicated folks leave the group or whatever), so in all likelyhood, the sign has been repainted. The lighting (...) (23 years ago, 22-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

Re: Signs, Signs, everywhere a Sign

(...) Our homeowners association adopted a stretch of highway near our subdivision last year and now we really enjoy driving by and noticing the difference. Missouri suggests that trash be picked up at least four times a year, but there is no cost (...) (23 years ago, 22-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

"Frank Filz" <ffilz@mindspring.com> wrote in message news:3ABA3F5C.751F@m...ing.com... (...) [ ... snipped .. ] . (...) In North Carolina (at least around here) it is a one mile stretch AND, it is hard to get one, particularly around Research (...) (23 years ago, 22-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

Re: Signs, Signs, everywhere a Sign

(...) It's such a blindingly obvious fake! Even at first glance, why is there compression fringing around the 'Adopt a Highway' text, but absolutely none around the NGLTC? Not only that but the NGLTC text has perfect regular anti-aliasing, which you (...) (23 years ago, 23-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

(...) Because it's almost 1 April? best LFB (23 years ago, 23-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

Re: Signs, Signs, everywhere a Sign

(...) Why go to such lengths to prove it's fake? Josh (...) (23 years ago, 24-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

Re: Signs, Signs, everywhere a Sign

Eh-hem although Jason J. Railton did go to such length to say it was a fake i DID say it before him but not in the manner that he did. (URL) then again people never listen to me. And since this is just an April Fools Joke HAHAHAHAH END OF (...) (23 years ago, 24-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

Re: Signs, Signs, everywhere a Sign

(...) ...this and other profundities at 11. Dude...lighten up. Who gives if someone acknowledges you were the genius who could tell that was fake or not? And what's with the shouting (all caps) anyways? Not everything is a Big Deal(tm). -Tim (23 years ago, 24-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

Re: Signs, Signs, everywhere a Sign

Tim, It was only an april fools joke. If you were reading the thread Josh Baakko pointed out how someone had gone through a lot of trouble just to prove it was a fake, but did not realize the fact that it was an april fools joke. I was merely (...) (23 years ago, 24-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

Re: Signs, Signs, everywhere a Sign

(...) Yeah... Why would he go though the trouble: "If you zoom in, you'll see that the top and bottom edges of the middle sign drop by a whole pixel from left to right, yet the text on it is exactly horizontal. Also the three 'r's in the text are (...) (23 years ago, 24-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

Re: Signs, Signs, everywhere a Sign

(...) Didn't realise it was an April Fools joke? It's March. As in, the month prior to April. That has to be one of the saddest attempts at an April Fool I've ever seen. (...) Don't then. But trouble? Copy -> Paint Shop Pro -> Paste -> Zoom. All of (...) (23 years ago, 25-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains.org)
