| | Re: Thoughts on Spy Photos of New Trains
| (...) I share the same POV. I just wish I got into trains a lot earlier and had more train elements at this point. (...) Same here, unfortunately. I plan on getting more track now as well. What I am wondering is if one of the trains is RC and the (...) (19 years ago, 6-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

| | Re: Best way to get into LEGO Trains?
| (...) Hi John, I would definitely suggest starting off with 9V. One thing to note is that Lego trains are expensive. There isn't really any way of getting around that yet (see later comment). I would suggest starting off by buying the High Speed (...) (19 years ago, 5-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains)

| | Re: 9V Train Motor Being Discontinued?
| (...) Just a thought question from this: What do folks think about the fact that almost every other model railroad displayed at a train show displays obsolete, no longer available products? How about the American Flyer folks, or the vintage Lionel (...) (19 years ago, 29-Mar-06, to lugnet.trains)

| | Re: LEGO Capacitors use on Trains?
| I have distinct memories of running a 9v train motor on the DACTA capacitor at a WAMALUG meeting last spring. I don't remember the details but the train ran for quite the distance. I think this was the same meeting we were measuring train speed with (...) (24 years ago, 8-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains)

| | Re: Train compatibility?
| (...) LEGO trains have a high degree of compatibility. The only real source of incompatibility is the electrical items. This means for example that 9V and 12V track and motors are incompatible, and neither will run on 4.5V track (though 4.5V and (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)

| I'm glad to see the 4519 crossover at last, shows some commitment to trains by LEGO. Also I quite like the 4541 Road N' Rail Cherry Picker Truck, I'll definitely get one of those. The 4561 Railway Express, on the other hand, is absolutely terrible, (...) (26 years ago, 7-Dec-98, to lugnet.trains)
