Re: A brief reflexion on power sources

(...) Ah OK. I thought Lenz too had it's own protocol. Thanks for clearing that up. (...) True... wouldn't even degrade normal operations. While at it, the way the spring is held in place could be improved too, as well as the spring power (I've had (...) (21 years ago, 28-Jul-03, to lugnet.trains)

(...) What with a motor with blown up decoder? Buy a new motor, or better, should the motorblock be able to open, as in the 4.5V and early 12V era for replacement? (...) (...) FYI, in American English the term is "inner tube" and "tire". "outer" would be redundant. --Bill. (21 years ago, 22-Jul-03, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Oh, I know that. I meant with the same design in size and outer shape. The interior of the motor would have to suffer adaptations, but hopefully none of these would mean the new design would require the modification of the older trains to fit (...) (...) Jan-Albert (*), when you say "inner tyre" do you mean the tube? (bike tyres have a tube, that is a rubber doughnut with a valve, containing compressed air). I ask it because racing bikes mostly use tubular (tubeless) tyres, which are a kind of (...) (21 years ago, 20-Jul-03, to lugnet.trains)

New scenery MOCs - debuting as instructions

I'd like to announce two of my MOCs are available as instructions, exclusively through Jake McKee's Building Instructions Portal. For once, they're not actually trains, but I stick them on layouts anyway... I haven't featured either of these on my (...)   Grip tyres for 12V trains

I recently bought some 4.5V and 12V train parts, including two 80s 12V motors, but no grip tyres. The engines slip a lot with just a few cars (mostly the steel axle trainbases from the 70s) Does someone know a good alternative for grip tyres. I (...) (21 years ago, 19-Jul-03, to lugnet.trains)

I tried just x-posting their message to .trains, but Lugnet said I couldn't do it, because my message was "96% quotes", and that I had to trim some of their message before I could x-post it.
