  Show Report - NovaLUG at 2 day show in Dartmouth Nova Scotia
 
2 DAY SHOW - NOV. 20-21, 2004 This was Novalug's 3rd show at the Dartmouth Sportsplex. All six members and two guests participated.   Tram of Strasbourg motorized and real...
 
I have just finished the construction of the tram in real with bricks after Mlcad. For the motorization I used 2 motors 8735 and a small battery box 9V.   Using Code Pilot to control motorized cows
 
Purists please skip this post as it involves non-LEGO sensors. Lacking an RCX, but loving the motorized cows ( (URL) ), I needed to find a way to control them with the code pilot (from set 8479 Barcode Multi-Set) I have. The only LEGO sensor that (...) Okay, how's this for an idea: Most electronic stores stock a kind of universal power converter. These have several output settings, including 9v and 7.5 volt. If you use the 7.5 volt setting, the train never gets enough power to derail on curves. (...) (25 years ago, 23-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

  New British Class 50 'Hoover' in Large-Logo Blue Livery
 
Here's a new British loco in 8mm:1ft scale. It is 50033 "Glorious" in memory of the real engine of that name being shut up in Swindon (UK) STEAM museum, fully serviceable but unable to run - what a shame!   Dover Show Success
 
The Dover show was a success with our layout drawing a crowd all day. We also setup a play area which drew children all day long. Many children made creations and added them to the layout.   Lego Train Wins Prize at Hull (UK) Model Railway Show!
 
At the Hull (UK) Model Railway Show last weekend, my 8mm:1ft scale British Class 28 CoBo engine (known to fans of Thomas as "BoCo") won the A1 Models Trophy for the best "modern outline" exhibit.
