At the Hull (UK) Model Railway Show last weekend, my 8mm:1ft scale British
Class 28 CoBo engine (known to fans of Thomas as BoCo) won the A1 Models
Trophy for the best modern outline exhibit. (In this case modern outline
means post-1950 diesel engine).

This was enough to convince someone involved with Railway Modeller magazine,
whom I had found a hard nut in terms of accepting Lego trains, to take a
few photos. If any of them end up in the mag then we can claim a miracle!
I hope this has helped to get Lego trains accepted more in the model railway
community.

I should point out that Marks award is even greater than it might seem to the
US AFOL. Unlike in the US, in the UK Lego trains are not really represented in
the general railway modelling community (well its just Mark really!) and for him
to win a prize on a level footing with the other entries and not just for most
entertaining layout or similar is a massive acheivement. Well done Mark.
