Hello, Samarth, and welcome to trains-- glad you decided to delurk:-) I’m also gratified to see another 8 wide convert; (BTW thanks for the kind words) inspiring young minds with LEGO trains is a major reason why I build and share.

You have built a fine MOC with your Beast! Please don’t be afraid to continue to photograph it with hopefully less fuzzy results-- there are a lot of fine details there that we’d all like to pour over!

As for posting images, it is really quite simple. All you need are these: << >> (You must first remember to change the format from “Plain text” to “Formatted text (FTX)” before posting).

One nice little secret: You can post the thumbs of your pics from Brickshelf instead of the actual pic (to which you could create a linked image if you wanted) by adding /thumb/ and (underscore character)thumb.jpg to your pic, like this:

http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Samarth/WDP-4/thumb/back.jpg(underscore character)thumb.jpg

So, the full image:

And the thumb:

And, finally, to link the full image to the thumb:

Good luck and I look forward to hearing more about the 3 foot mystery MOC:-)

(...) Hi John, It's nice getting a reply from you. I fell in love with the 8 wides when it clicked in my head: I had two failed 6-wide designs for the WDP-4, and the only way to get the front windows to look right, was NOT to use this piece of you (...) (...) In FTX, you can include brackets, braces, underscores, etc by escaping them with a single back quote (first character on your keyboard): _underscore_, [brackets], {braces}, |bars|. Take a look at the raw message to see how it's done. --Bram (20 years ago, 15-Nov-04, to lugnet.trains, FTX)
