Greetings, SALUG (Southern Alberta Lego User's Group) attended Supertrain, the groups forth time at this train show in Calgary, Alberta. Attendance for the two days was about 14,000. Here in Australia, Lego Trains are a joke. Seeing this thread made me register from my Work PC. The newest Offering from Lego (the blue thing that isnt sure of what it is exactly) costs RRP of $350 from Lego themselves, the cheapest I've seen is on (...) (...) Well yes, that goes without saying. You need to protect your DCC function output from exceeding it's milliamp limit. With the Zenner it just makes your resistance required to be far less. As an example 50 ohms as apposed to 200 ohms. Dean (21 years ago, 9-Feb-04, to lugnet.trains)

(...) I've done onboard RCX to modified train motor before. I had it read barcodes along the track to know what station to go to. (URL) motor now powers my DCC CN engine. I would like to say "hi" and introduce myself as a LEGO Train newbie. I only have the old 7720 set and a load of track. Each time I think of upgrading and buying a new train set LEGO releases something new, usually Star Wars, which catches my eye (...) (21 years ago, 8-Feb-04, to lugnet.trains)

A Steamer with a Boiler that actually is Round ===...=== (URL) Macaroni bricks seem like a good choice for modelling the boiler of a steamer, except that it isn't obvious how to fasten the domes and stuff that are supposed to be on top of it.   Differences between instructions and cover photo of old trainsets
 
Last weekend I bought a second hand 721 locomotive set with instructions. While rebuilding this set I noticed some differences between the instruction drawings and the photograph on the cover of the instructions. I know about the prototype trainbase (...)
