  Re: Newsgroup for PNLTC

(...) Hrm.... Follow-ups don't seem to be working. It never gave me the option to post to build.trains only (...) clubs.trains.pnltc does not appear to be deleted from the newserver. I'm still getting it when I refresh my groups list. Sarah Heacock (26 years ago, 29-Sep-98, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.trains)

  Re: Newsgroup for PNLTC

[follow-ups set to build.trains] (...) I misunderstood what SteveB said earlier today, and we talked more in e-mail. PNLTC doesn't want to have its own specific newsgroup after all, so clubs.trains.pnltc is off the list again. However, Steve says (...) (26 years ago, 29-Sep-98, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.trains)

(...) Just connect the motor wires on the motor output from a DCC decoder. As simple as that. (...) I agree with that, but it needs a verry good thinking befor acting. I didn't buy a RCX because of the cost and its limited I/O (input / output). If i (...) (21 years ago, 26-Jul-03, to lugnet.trains)

Some thoughts from someone who has a little experience: Decoders: Should be built into the motor, non removable. Cost for commercial decoders is ~19 usd for a "series 3" decoder with 1/2 function outputs. That is retail. Should be able to make them (...) (21 years ago, 28-Jul-03, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Trains around the Christmas Tree

Regarding Christmas trains. Last years PNLTC show at the OMSI Holiday Junction event featured a Christmas train.   More trains pictures on PNLTC site

Hello All I'm not easily impressed when it comes to Lego trains. I've seen good designs and bad and am my own worst critic. October 2-3, PNLTC put on a display concurrent with the Lego truck tour. This is old news by now. What is new, is that new (...) (26 years ago, 12-Nov-98, to lugnet.trains)

  Trains around the Christmas Tree

For many years, on and off, we have run trains around the tree. First in HO, then in LGB G scale, and last year I had a small one around a tiny tree in my apt in Detroitland. From a collectors standpoint, this train is a must-have. You need to stay (9.0V) train complete! For playability, I think it's one of the best - it has those two over-head cranes, and the real-working scale is so cool. It's my (5 yr old) son's (...) (26 years ago, 12-Oct-98, to lugnet.trains)
