Re: Gray VS. Black Metroliner Nose

(...) I alternated between the two, leaving black on for a week, and gray on for a week, until I determined which one I liked better. I stuck with gray. I can see Ben's point about keeping models "Lego set pure" (most of mine are), or else build a (...) (23 years ago, 27-Oct-01, to lugnet.trains)

  MOC Monorail with MOC Monorail

I know many people have already seen this Monorail from the rtlToronto Train2 pictures, but I've finally got around to taking some more detailed pictures of it. Its a monorail that uses blue 4.5v train track instead Lego's monorail track. Hence the (...) (23 years ago, 12-Nov-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.trains)

That's a clever design, Chris-- I like it! But as you know, now you've got a whole new set of issues with which to deal;-) I've pretty much completed a set of 5 articulated double stack container cars, and I opted to use the 2x2 turntable instead of (...)   Re: How loud are monorails?

I would agree about as loud as a 9V motor. It is a droning white noise buzz. Do you remember the vintage Kenner Tie Fighter? Kinda like that. The lower the battery gets the louder it is up and down those ramps too. (23 years ago, 27-Nov-01, to lugnet.trains)
