Re: Discussion of Train Table Sizes

(...) (snip) (...) Thanks Larry. I happen to think we are working too hard but for most of us, the challenge of building something new and interesting was just as much fun as presenting and exhibiting. My preference is now for a more permanent build (...) (20 years ago, 17-Dec-04, to lugnet.trains.org)

Re: Minifig What scale are they??

Ahh, the ageless question :) Dave Eaton and I, in the course of our AT-AT Marathon (I'm still recovering ...) e-mailed each other regularly on issues about scale. For the most part, I went by the minifig's height, and said that it was equal to 1.8 (...) (25 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, lugnet.trains, lugnet.town)

  Re: New MOC: Hogwarts Express

Is it really worth it to buy and strip a whole loco? (or do Playmobil supply (...) (23 years ago, 3-Jun-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Another Legend dies... ...changes to "new" metroliner suggested.

(...) I have no problem with the "slight" changes you suggest. But those will result in extra (slight?) development costs, and so may make other Legend sets a little less likely. I cannot find a picture of the "new" metroliner on Lego.com, but the (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: DCC for the RCX

(...) Huh??!? Your basic resistor can only handle 1/4 watt (0.25W), so your worst-case 2.8W is more than ten times the rated maximum current. Even dumping an "insignificant" 0.5W across a resistor is probably not adviseable unless you are also (...) (21 years ago, 29-May-03, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

I've travelled to Europe fairly often, and I would definitely say that while older buildings should be preserved when possible, it is also possible to go (...)   Re: 8 Wide Train Pics

Hey John, I just started using MLCAD on my PB 1400 (G3 upgraded) boy is it pokey, but it works. It is a menu driven program so it is easy to figure out.
