Hi Kai,

LEGO is not simply one person, it is a large global company. Having that in
mind you might understand that different replies from various sources within
the same company may also include different contents. It seems that you have
contacted someone at the LEGO Consumer Service or maybe any employee of TLC,
but there is meanwhile a specific group that has been created only to listen
to our ideas and needs: LEGO Direct.

Not all other parts have already taken note of LEGO Direct (although they
should) and may not yet know that TLC has created this new group that covers
the large field of contacting consumers. I am sorry that I can not give you
a specific address at LEGO Direct that you might contact for your ideas, but
posting a message to lugnet.dear-lego might be a better address than any
local consumer service.

I also think it's very confusing to see reports of TLC that are in conflict,
but it's better to have someone looking at your ideas than having no one at
all. Whenever an employee of TLC says: "We are listening!" then it's most
probably an employee of LEGO Direct and not of any other departement.

Maybe that clarifies your complains, although I am not able to explain the
situation as well as anyone inside the company.

Bye, Christian --- xTI@N.

That doesnt seem right i mailed them a letter a couple months ago and the
LEGO GROUP said "we can not take any ideas from our costumers due to legal
reasons" and i would scan the letter but my scanner is broke.
I dont know maybe lego has changed, just all those years of mailing them • and
getting that response makes me not sure.

Hi all!

Sorry for having canceled my original message, here it is again....

most of you know that there are several smaller AFOL communities besides
LUGNET. The forum at www.1000steine.de is one of these communities • similar
to Lugnet but a bit smaller and nearly entirely German.

As I was a bit dissapointed about the fact that LEGO Direct seems to look
mostly at Lugnet and ignores the other communities, I dropped LEGO Direct • a
note AND within a few days recieved the following extremely surprising
reply! (Just read on...)

Gruss Dich!

My name is Jake McKee and I work for LEGO Direct. We wanted to drop a • note
to let you all know that we are certainly aware of the German LEGO AFOL
community! We have been following your growth for some time, and are • pleased
to see your progress!

As we grow, LEGO Direct will be making more of an effort to include the
German community in our ongoing communications. We are working to • improve
our presence in the German LEGO community with the LEGO Club and other
initiatives. This is a very exciting time for us at LEGO Direct with • the
release of bulk brick sales, sculptures, custom kits like Mosaic and • more
(maybe even trains!) coming in the future, and welcome the opportunity • to
include all the LEGO communities in these developments.

I can tell you this. At LEGO Direct, we *do* listen to you. We welcome • your
feedback and appreciate your interest!

Feel free to post the message above on www.1000steine.de. If you like • we
can
translate it to German.

Thanks!
jake
