From the Lego train communication III
"our designers worked on the first train set using the new Power Functions
system. This set will be truly aimed at the AFOL community to acknowledge the
importance of the adult LEGO hobbyists in the LEGO train world."
It is nice that it will be aimed at AFOL's but it would be better if were also
aimed at the children's market and sold in large numbers - the Hobby train aimed
at AFOL's had to be discounted.
