  Re: Coal Car

(...) More-or-less. It's not quite centered, but it's not off enough to really be noticeable. I would esitmate that it's about 1/10th of a stud. Pitsco has the plates with rails, but I've found Bricklink to be cheaper. -Duane (18 years ago, 6-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: rebeco

I have to say I really like the ideas in this. Having seen Jason Railton's automation recently and having been considereing technic solutions for train things any overlap of the two is good in my book. Just one thing tho, the video of the (...)   Re: Coal Car

(...) Very nice! I can see putting my many 'yoda lips' into service and building some in sand green. New kind of lip service. . . . Question: It is a little difficult to tell if it is centered on the bottom plate. The body is built sideways, but, is (...) (18 years ago, 6-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: 9v Update (ILTCO's involvment)

(...) "My name is Rich, and I'm a LEGO lurker." How about ILTCO asking LEGO to throw us all a bone by offering one of those ILTCO only catalog codes that gives some great discount on some set(s) like they've done in the past? This would be a quick (...) (18 years ago, 6-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains)

Re: 9V Train Motor Being Discontinued?

(...) . . . . (...) I wish to add my $0.02 worth also I think this story can be told by many Rafe, just change the names and ages and you have summed up my history with Lego Trains as well. (which has now made me a bit paranoid, is someone watching (...) (18 years ago, 6-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: 9v Update (ILTCO's involvment)

(...) But this is ILTCO's biggest problem. It's only got one mailing list and it's full of chatter; either trivial analysis or a few club members discussing something and broadcasting it to all members. That's why most people turn the mailing off, (...) (18 years ago, 6-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: 9v Update (ILTCO's involvment)

(...) Steve, thank you for your answer. This discussion makes stuffs clearier. You know I'm a true ILTCO supporter. I deeply hope the way you (we) see ILTCO will become reality, and yes some very good things have been accomplished yet. But Tom is (...) (18 years ago, 6-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: 9v Update (ILTCO's involvment)

I think this is a great thing that Eric has taken on. Someone needs to get the ball rolling, and he appears to be doing just that. As far as ILTCO goes, what exactly is the status of things there? There doesn't ever really seem to be anything going (...) (18 years ago, 6-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: 9v Update (ILTCO's involvment)

(...) Not that I feel like I have to justify my actions but this single issue is so big that I thought it needed its own forum for organizing and making our case. The site has little to do with LUGNET, we arn't going to post MOC's. We are trying to (...) (18 years ago, 6-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Crosstrack 9v Question

(...) Thanks to you and Jeff for your responses. FYI, my son, who is 9, loves the Lego trains. He's adding the second oval to his set. He has some bionicle and star wars, but by far he spends the most time with his trains because he can envision and (...) (18 years ago, 5-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Hey, I have $0.02 here is my take. (...) I’m with you here. In 2002 I went to my first Brickfest. At that point I had just about no bricks and no Lego room.   Re: 9V Train Motor Being Discontinued?

(...) The MILLION dollar question is... Is there a 3rd Party Vendor even interested in making the 9V parts? TLC could offer the license (I doubt they will) but if there is no party interetsed then it is pointless. (18 years ago, 4-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)
