Not bad, but a bit stubby, as others have said. Try making the cab a bit
shorter. That gives a stud or two more to the hood and hides the
disproportionality. Also, consider black trucks instead of gray. Gray is a
bit too light for most protos unless they are brand new or kept clean.

Oh, yea, its waaaay to short to be prototypical. But I see what you mean about
the safety cab hood being a little too short. Dont know how much I can change
in the cab, and keep the snotty windows. As for the striped portion, I think
its proportionally too long, but the overall engine length is too short.
I currently dont have any black trucks, but Mat has offered to supply me with
some, so before I take finalized photos, Ill get that changed. I dont like the
grey either. It looks a little better on the BNSF, but is still to bright and
cheery for my taste in trains. I was a heavy weather-er when I was a model
railroader in high school.
As for details on the cab, I felt Id gone a little overboard, as the photos I
have of safety cabs shows them being fairly smooth. There are some doors, but
they are small, and have little to no model-able texture.
I cant decide if Im ok with the rear panel not being 90 to the deck. But since
45 degree slopes arent actually 45 degrees, the back panel is at about an 85-88
degrees from the deck.

With a safety cab (or full width cab and nose) the engine only has one hood, the long one, which in this paint scheme carries (...) (19 years ago, 17-Mar-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)
