Hello,

this is my first post to Lugnet.

Maybe this is common knowledge in Lego train community, but I have never seen mentioned that points can be used as insulated tracks. Here is an example of reversing loop with standard Lego parts:

You don’t need to break your tracks for reversing loop project and this loop type takes only one of your straight tracks which are often needed elsewhere.

(...) Hey! That's really neat. I never thought of that. Nice work. (...) You don't need to cut track to make insulations, btw. Just a tiny slip of paper between the connectors will keep electricity from flowing. I recommend marking insulating points (...) (20 years ago, 10-Aug-04, to lugnet.trains, FTX)
