I like Lewis' idea for two reasons:
First, since he's only creating an extension of the normal LEGO wire system I
can use standard track power connectors, thus elemenating the need for a hard
wired piece of track. I know my luck and the wires would come loose on that hard
wired track, thus requiring me to always keep a repair kit with me. (I will
admit that I already have to do this because of my Rail Racers track and the
issues it runs into when being set up at times)
Second, I like the idea that with extending the standard LEGO wire I can use the
extensions for powering other items on the layout besides LEGO track.
