    LDCC Resources? —Peter Young
Hi, I was wondering if there were any website that may contain details on the setup and control of LDCC. Are the RCX units required to control the trains or can this be done by a computer? Thanks, Peter Young. (21 years ago, 23-Jun-03, to lugnet.trains)

(...) When you say LDCC do you mean DCC for RCX, or something else? If DCC for RCX, have you checked the header of this very newsgroup in web view? It has a link to Mark Riley's site... (URL) that helps. If it didn't, can you ask your question (...) (21 years ago, 23-Jun-03, to lugnet.trains)

(...) There is nothing especially 'Lego' about the controller. Once you have installed the decoders in the train motor you can use any DCC train controller, there are a number of these and also some computer programs. When you look into this further (...)       (...) for decoders, most of us are using digitrax decoders of various types. But, any DCC compatable decoder will work. The LDCC setup uses the mindstorms remote control to operate. For more info on DCC search lugnet.trains, and look at Tom's site (...) (21 years ago, 24-Jun-03, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Good question, here's a list of decoders I've heard of being installed inside a train motor (any others, anyone?): Digitrax DN121 Digitrax DZ143 Digitrax DN140 (discontinued product) Lenz LE0511W MRC AD330 Also, these decoders seem likely (...)       (...) I have installed several Digitrax DN142's. I really like the "Back EMF" load compensation function. It helps with voltage droop on curves and hills. Also, shortly I will be getting a couple TCS M1's. These are cheaper than the DN142's and have (...) (21 years ago, 24-Jun-03, to lugnet.trains)
