i have a question concerning how the DCC signal is sent Is it just sort of a "rider" on top of the power similar to X-10 home automation signals? If so could not the RCX be protected with diodes and used in conjunction with a standard train (...) (21 years ago, 30-May-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.trains)

Well, Some Totally Awesome Stupendous Guy by the name of Mark posted the other day talking about getting an RCX to be the DCC for train layouts... The signal box looks good - more substantial than normal. I would be frightened to cross the footbridge without any handrails. Not another cherry picker - have LEGO not got any imagination? I hope it is in the shops, every child's train set needs a (...) (21 years ago, 30-May-03, to lugnet.trains)

What makes you conclude the target markets for the Train Shed and the new level crossing are different? Is it the style of the sets? The parts selected? To me it looks like Lego Direct is trying to produce an affordable Train accessory set. Bryan (...) (21 years ago, 30-May-03, to lugnet.trains)
