I smell another poster! What a great engine! Wonderful detail, has a compact
yet strong look. After spending a ton of time designing my last steamer from
scratch, I was wondering if you got any instructions! This is one that I'd
love to run on my layout! Are there any gotcha (hard to find) elements?

It's a model of a Pennsylvania Railroad Class A5 0-4-0 Switcher with slopeback
tender.  In grabbing that information, I found that it was also referred to as
a "Yard Goat".  I *love* that name!

Anyway, it's just a cute little model with a little extra detail thrown in -
specifically, I added some tubes, pipes, and stacks up top, and threw on those

I'm most pleased with is the stepped ledge along the side, visible right under
the 2x4 half rounds in this pic:

Alas! the pistons and drive rods don't actually work.

Suggestions, feedback, and thoughts welcome, as always!

Here's what I came up with: (1) you need 44-studs worth of those curved 1x2x1.3 black bricks - I used (...) (21 years ago, 28-Mar-03, to lugnet.trains)
