years ago, after James showed off his first tri-axles, I came up with this
design, which is not too far away from yours:

The 12V wheels have the advantage to make a lower design possible.

I would not wonder, if our birthdays kid would have been the first to invent a
sliding system for tri axles. Its now no longer among his galleries, but I
have in mind, that there actually was such an alternative for these waggons.
