BOB's coloring:
The brochure's front cover art looks to have been "artisticly" enhanced,
turning selective patches into grayscale images of varying contrast and color
depth(?). I thought the same thing at first.
BOB's total number of units:
From what I can tell from the brochure, BOB is at least 5 units long, with,
indeed, a wheeled middle unit. The middle unit certainly looks similar to the
front control unit in terms of length and winow placement.
Alas, I do not have enough pieces to extend BOB's length from 3 to 5 :-( Wish
I did, but I used nearly all of my black train-style windows and gray 1/4
top-curved bricks.
I'd love to see someone make a 5 unit BOB.

Coupling strength:
BOB runs best with the LEGO train motor "pushing" the train set. I dare say
that BOB would run nearly indefinitely in the pushing mode. Pulling is a
little different, the LEGO train motor wants, just a little, to pop a wheely
due to the "hanging" of the middle car between the front and rear units. Also,
the rubber bands might lose some resiliance after a few hours of stretching.
Dunno, haven't run BOB that long. I think the longest run in the pulling mode
has been about 15-20 minutes.
Personally, I run BOB in the push mode exclusively.
