The Most Unusual of Trams: Sculptured Fronts

While searching for photos of trams, I came across these most unique sculptured trams: (URL) Basel, Switzerland.   Re: Eurotram in LEGO colors

(...) HoMa, I have found some photographs of trams in Cologne. Is this the shape of the tram in Cologne? (URL) is the Cologne tram really the same shape as the Eurotram by Siemen's? Still searching... later, James Mathis (24 years ago, 13-Nov-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Layout Help

(...) I wouldn't give up on going under the layout but you will need to start your down slope a lot sooner. I am planning a second level for my ~11' x 11' layout and built a test sloped section to see if the equipment could handle it. Keep in mind (...) (24 years ago, 13-Nov-00, to lugnet.trains)

Thanks HoMa and Ben for the reference to the photo of the real-life Schienenbus and Carsten's other creations. I've enjoyed visiting his home page before. Very nice. (more below) (...) Thanks. The scenery details help the Eurotram "fit-in". Photos (...) (24 years ago, 13-Nov-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Trains 2000 (Burnaby, BC Canada): Award Won

(...) Wow, what a surprise! <grin> A LEGO layout takes people's choice. Whodathunkit? Congratuations. Well done. That said, this seems to be the *usual* outcome. People LOVE our hobby. Hi again, just another link to the Märklin model: (URL) have to correct myself: The Schienenbus wasn't only run in the city of Wismar, it was BUILD in Wismar! Sorry for that mistake. HoMa (24 years ago, 13-Nov-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: t41 model by Carsten Luetjens

Hi James, Carsten posts at the german 1000steine.de/forum regularly. I don't know, if he posts on lugnet? I will ask him. I just found a picture of the "real" Schienenbus. Schienenbus means literaly Track-bus/coach - a mixture between bus and train. (...) (24 years ago, 13-Nov-00, to lugnet.trains)
