Re: Lego layout from the seventies

Yes gray bricks were not available during the 60's, only gray plates. But that doesn't mean that LEGO didn't produce them for their models. They still do it today with bricks and pieces that are not produced for the general public. Just go to a (...) (24 years ago, 15-May-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

Re: Pictures of GFLTC at the Enviro Fair...

(...) The Sky Train model I built for this event uses a lot of different parts not designed to work together. Like 4.5 track in a narrow gage configuration (4 studs) and Mindstorms.   Re: Chessie Steamer

I did put 8 wide in the folder description but it kind of gets lost at the top of the screen. The width of 8 wide really helped the train look a lot better than what I could create in six wide, which leads to the whole 8 vs. 6 discussion but I (...) (24 years ago, 15-May-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Pictures of GFLTC at the Enviro Fair...

Robin, The layout looks cool, I like the inverted monorail. How does the "Sky Train" work? is it using a standard monorail engine or do you have some special MOC drive configuration? Also I like the layout outside of your standard cabinet, makes the (...) (24 years ago, 15-May-00, to lugnet.loc.us.fl, lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org)

Excellent work, Nick! Welcome to the dark side;-) Nick, of course, failed to mention that his new train is 8 wide:-) I noticed that you did some selective shortening of your passenger cars. Was this because you experienced magnet holding problems, (...) (24 years ago, 14-May-00, to lugnet.trains)
