Re: M>ltc voted 2nd best layout at Stawell Train Show

(...) (snip) (...) Hey M>ltc congrats on your 2nd place! Your layout is becoming quite impressive (I ran through the deep links). Oh btw, I am not entirely clear, was it cold??? Janey "Thank gosh it's summer here, Red Brick" (19 years ago, 11-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains.org.mltc, FTX)

M>ltc voted 2nd best layout at Stawell Train Show

M>ltc displayed our current layout at the Grampians Train Show in Stawell this weekend. It was another great weekend, with a few noteworthy points: 1. It was cold! (2 URLs) 2. Unfortunately, not enough tables were available to display our full 8x3 (...) (19 years ago, 10-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains.org.mltc, lugnet.trains, lugnet.loc.au, FTX) !

  Re: Spanish Brotli-Bahn Swiss Adler

(...) Yeah, I knew about those; there was a discussion on them recently. Just thought it would be really cool if they were mass produced in red at some time. Legoswami (19 years ago, 10-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Furka Oberalp Loco at NMRA

Does anyone have any more info on the loco and train seen in the background of this shot? (URL) Tim (19 years ago, 10-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Spanish Brotli-Bahn Swiss Adler

(...) --SNIP-- Hi Jason, That is impressively nerdy. Amazingly so! This is coming from a physicist who programs in his spare time and should be taken as a compliment. Tim (19 years ago, 10-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

A new game was invented last nite at Billy and Kirsten's house party at the Cincinnati NMRA/NTS convention... Basically it works like this: (these rules are subject to cleanup, lots of people were involved in inventing this, we made it up as we went (...)   Re: SCLTC opens at the Orange County Fair!

(...) Ah, you're probably in lot E off of Merrimac.. If you go all the way to the East end of that lot, you'll see the Technology Building, where I teach. If it were open you could see some of the LEGO stuff I do for my CAD class.. :) (...) Wow, (...) (19 years ago, 10-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains.org.scltc, FTX)

Re: SCLTC opens at the Orange County Fair!

(...) Darrell- Gee, it would be hard for you to miss us! As exhibitors, we receive free parking, but we have to take a shuttle bus from our designated lot at...Orange Coast College!   Re: Spanish Brotli-Bahn Swiss Adler

(...) I'd guessed they were painted from the slight difference in luminosity in one of the pictures, but wasn't going to say in case it sounded too nerdy :-) Hey, it was a pretty good colour match. Actually, as I understand it TLC have used red for (...) (19 years ago, 9-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: ParLUGment Canada Day Display

(...) Chris, as the person who 'funded' the railway construction and the mill, I can confidently say that the track is planned to turn away from the mill without risk it or the surrounding environment. ;-) Thanks, Jude (19 years ago, 9-Jul-05, to lugnet.org.ca.parlugment, lugnet.loc.ca, lugnet.trains, lugnet.town)

(...) That would be Deborah Higdon-LeBlond... :) (...) Deborah's on vacation for a bit, so you may have to wait for anything direct from her. The Italian villa is already online in her Brickshelf account, though. (URL) Black (who was a rooftop (...)   Re: ParLUGment Canada Day Display

(...) about skylights? :-) Saves on roof bricks, though. I like the use of the grey/clear door panel for the roof hatch. Vegetation - very well done. Can you provide some closeups of some of the bushes and stuff? Also the top of the villa? I want to (...)   Re: SCLTC opens at the Orange County Fair!

All- I didn't quite get the closing hours for the OC Fair correct in my post. The fair closes everyday at 00:00 (midnight), but the SCLTC layout closes everyday at 23:00. -Ted (19 years ago, 9-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains.org.scltc, FTX)

Re: NMRA layout poster of group areas

  Re: Have a great NMRA

Thanks James! There are really no words that can describe this! It took me (as others have concured) several hours the first day to even comprehend the magnitude of this layout! When you look up and see far off in the distance a cluster of (...) (19 years ago, 9-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains)

Re: SCLTC opens at the Orange County Fair!

(...) Given that I live in Costa Mesa and I teach at Orange Coast College, I may be over to check you out! Question, though - where are you located within the Fairgrounds? Are all the events in the same general area or do I have to go hunting for (...) (19 years ago, 9-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains.org.scltc, FTX)

  Re: Old railway station

(...) Thanks, that's a picture I have not seen before. It is a different version with a shorter bridge and only 2 platforms. But the platforms are longer and there's a roof above the platform. Can you get a higher quality picture of it? Niels (19 years ago, 8-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: 75ton breakdown crane
