Simple and effective, it works well. Those 1x1+1x1 brackets are very useful but not as common as they could be. Here's my first finished attempt at any sort of rolling stock for a train. I wanted a six-wide boxcar with working doors. I managed to keep the doors 1 plate thick by using 1x1 - 1x1 brackets on the back. The brackets stick out from the plate just (...) (21 years ago, 26-Mar-04, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

I've not yet been brave enough to use my dremel on Lego like that - I once cut a steel pole outside with the cutting disc and the disc shattered and (...)
