  Re: Assistance

Quite an impressing system Huw! I'd like a more detailed write-up on it, if time permits. (21 years ago, 16-Sep-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.trains)

  Re: leJOS & LDCC IRP

Thanks to Chris, Mark and Jürgen, I am successfully reading LDCC IRP packets with josx.rcxcomm.LLC! (I say reading, not parsing--haven't had time to clean it up, yet!) (21 years ago, 16-Sep-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.java, lugnet.trains)

Re: Moonbase: Starting to put up the rail standard

(...) Well I am not a real serious train guy, but I do like them in addition to space so... I think using the exsisting pathways would create all sorts of logistics problems. A train could not be more than 7 wide because we wouldn't want them (...) (21 years ago, 16-Sep-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: Assistance

Before anything else, thank you for the reply! In these past few days I've gone out of my mind trying to figure out alternative designs for the discharge mechanism, but as ideas get harder and harder to pop all the input is welcome. (...) I (...)   Re: Moonbase: Starting to put up the rail standard

Here's a better example of how we could integrate train tracks into a moonbase by running it through the space previously reserved for "roads." This is a super module with train track encircling it : (URL) (21 years ago, 16-Sep-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.trains)

Re: Moonbase: Starting to put up the rail standard

Why not run the train tracks in the space that is already reserved for transport systems ? I assumed that was the original plan all along : ) It still works if you stick in more straight pieces. Check out this pic to see what I mean : (...) (21 years ago, 16-Sep-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.trains)

Re: Moonbase: Starting to put up the rail standard

(...) Looks good so far... I believe the positioning is good as well as the train height. I have already started a module with a train. I also agree that a train is not best for intra-moonbase travel but might be used for cargo, industry, utility (...) (21 years ago, 16-Sep-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.trains)

(URL) what I have so far. I can't find a curved track part for LDraw or I'd put up an image of that too.   TCS M1 decoder = good

Hi all, Well, I just thought I'd share my experience using a TCS M1 decoder. This is a neat little decoder designed for N / HO scale, and fits nicely into LEGO train motors - read about it here (URL) (21 years ago, 14-Sep-03, to lugnet.trains)
